An About page that uses GIFs to create a video-like story without the friction of a play button.
An About page that breaks all the rules on purpose, and nails the brand by doing it.

This stands out because it does everything "wrong," but it's actually right. The spacing is weird, the font sizes are small, and it generally just seems slapped together.
But that's what makes it perfect.
This brand is cool (definitely cooler than me), and this page conveys that. They aren't A/B testing the best layouts and maximizing shareholder profit. They're selling an identity, and the rough-around-the-edges vibe aligns perfectly with that.
The text is small and precise. It makes me work for it to get the information. That would be bad for many different businesses, but here it works. It's obvious that it was intentional, and it feels like it fits.
The spacing and structure feel deliberately off in a way that reinforces the brand's anti-corporate, creative vibe. Nothing about this page is trying to be polished or optimized. It's trying to feel real and unapologetically itself.
This is the website version of those disclaimers on car commercials that say "professional driver on a closed course, do not attempt."
It works here because the brand has the equity and the audience to pull it off. But this approach would be a disaster for most businesses. If you're not selling an identity-driven lifestyle brand with a loyal following, don't try this at home.

A plant-based meal delivery site that keeps food front and center without overdesigning.

A luggage brand that's unapologetically wild, and commits to it fully.
