Designs That
Nailed It
About DTNI

Curated by Alex Hoskinson

Designs That Nailed It is a running collection of websites, pages, and digital design moments that feel especially thoughtful, sharp, or useful. I started it because there’s a lot of “inspiration” online and not nearly enough curation.

My goal is to spotlight work worth studying and add just enough commentary to make it more practical — for designers, marketers, and people building websites who want to understand why something works, not just that it looks good.

I look for clear hierarchy, strong type, visual restraint, personality, and ideas worth borrowing. DTNI is not a giant design directory, not an awards clone, and definitely not a portfolio in disguise.

What DTNI looks for

Clear hierarchy, decisive contrast, strong typography, visual restraint that supports the content, and ideas worth stealing for your own work.

What this is not

Not a giant design directory. Not an awards clone. Not every site that looks nice. The bar is specificity — there has to be something genuinely worth studying.

The journal

Alongside the archive, there are occasional notes on design decisions, process observations, and things I keep noticing. No schedule, no newsletter.
