Ataraxis

A tech site that nails modern and futuristic without overdoing it or feeling tacky.

Clean tech homepage with cohesive brand colors and geometric shape system.

Why I Like This Site

I like that they didn't overdo it. This is as basic as you can get while still looking modern and futuristic. I looked through a bunch of sites in this space, and many already seemed tacky and outdated, while a lot of others were just way too much.

They locked in the brand colors and a shape system that matches their logo, and they used them well throughout the site. It all feels very cohesive and unifying. It's futuristic enough for a tech company, but not at the expense of feeling cheesy.

Layout and Flow

The structure is clean and predictable. There's a clear visual language built around their brand shapes and colors, and it carries through every section consistently.

The hierarchy is straightforward, and nothing fights for attention unnecessarily. It guides you through the content without needing flashy tricks or over-animated elements. The restraint is what makes it work.

What I'd Steal From This

  • Building a shape system that connects directly to the logo and using it throughout.
  • Committing to brand colors and letting them unify the entire experience.
  • Finding the balance between futuristic and professional without crossing into tacky.
  • Keeping the design restrained when competitors are overdoing it.

What I'm Not Crazy About

I wish I could see one more little bit of oomph. It feels like a site that's 95% there, and that last 5% would really step it up.

But I also can't spot exactly what's missing, so I'm not going to criticize too hard for it. Sometimes that last bit of polish is the hardest thing to pin down, and honestly, this works as-is.
